Kelly Wiltshire is a PhD candidate in the Department of Archaeology, Flinders University. Kelly’s PhD research focuses on the Indigenous (Ngarrindjeri) and archaeological significance of Waltowa wetland within the Lower Murray Region of South Australia. Kelly has worked closely with the Ngarrindjeri community for a number of years, working as a heritage specialist for Ngarrindjeri Regional Authority and has been involved in a number of Ngarrindjeri projects. Kelly’s PhD project emerges from an innovative research program being developed by the Ngarrindjeri Regional Authority and Ngarrindjeri Heritage Committee, which combines Ngarrindjeri aspirations for country with research.
