Goyder Institute Science Seminar Series

Over the past three years, the Goyder Institute has invested in strategic research projects to improve the ability of the State Government to effectively manage South Australia’s precious water resources.

To present the results of some of the the research that has been undertaken, the Goyder Institute will host a monthly, interactive Science Seminar Series. All members of the Goyder Institute and the public are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussions.

The first Seminar will be held on Wednesday 25th September between 3:00 - 4:00pm at the Science Exchange Auditorium, 55 Exchange Place, Adelaide.

Seminar title: New techniques for finding water for outback communities and industry

Presenter: Dr Tim Munday, CSIRO

South Australia’s outback is highly valued for its tourism, pastoralism, minerals, energy and beauty. Economic growth in the outback is highly dependent on water. CSIRO have undertaken a project which successfully tested new techniques for finding new water supplies for outback communities and industries, building on the State Government’s significant investment in this area. 

The Seminar is free and will be followed by afternoon tea
