Goyder Institute Seminar Series: What are South Australia's climate drivers?

22/11/2013

Seminar title: What are South Australia’s climate drivers?

Presenter: Prof Simon Beecham, UniSA

South Australia’s climate underpins our lifestyle, agriculture, infrastructure planning and our health and well-being. Information about the potential long term changes in climate and climate variability is important to inform the way we manage our lives, farms, infrastructure and our health system into the future. Current global climate models do not have enough detail at a local level to be useful to governments in their long term planning processes. World class science undertaken by a cross-agency team has down-scaled these global climate models to better understand the climate drivers for South Australia and provide relevant climate information at a local scale.

Come and find out how this information can help you.

The Seminar is free and will be followed by afternoon tea.

When: Wednesday 27th November, 3:00 – 4:00 pm

Where: Science Exchange Auditorium, 55 Exchange Place, Adelaide

Registration is essential and takes 30 seconds.
