Australian Water Recycling Centre launches Industry and Academic Exchange Program

04/12/2012

The Australian Water Recycling Centre of Excellence has launched a Water Recycling Industry and Academic Exchange Program. The program is designed to stimulate collaborative research between the water reuse industry and academia, as well as develop skills and foster knowledge transfer.

The Industry and Academic Exchange Program (Centre Fellowship) is funded under the Centre’s Goal 4, and will help address the national knowledge needs and education components of this goal. The Centre Fellowship represents a significant investment in the sustainability of the national water reuse industry and will result in strengthened working relationships.

The Centre has committed $250 000 to this call for proposals, with up to $80 000 available per Fellowship.

The Centre Fellowship will allow water industry professionals to spend time embedded in Australia’s academic framework, and for researchers to spend time embedded within industry.

The Centre has a specific interest in proposals that will enhance research linkages between organisations to form strong and lasting industry-academic partnerships. These partnerships will assist in broadening the current network of research and development relevant to Australia’s interests in water recycling.

Visit the Centre of Excellence website for further information on the Industry and Academic Exchange Program and to find out how to apply for a Centre Fellowship.
