Your chance to contribute to the development of a Resilient Water Future for Greater Adelaide

Over the next 50 years, the demand for water will increase while our drying climate will reduce available sources. The water systems in Greater Adelaide will need to be resilient in the face of future uncertainty and increasing extreme weather such as floods, bushfire and drought. Goyder Institute Affiliate Partner, SA Water, are planning now to ensure a secure, sustainable and resilient water supply for future generations.

The Resilient Water Futures project will see the delivery of an Urban Water Strategy to outline the vision and objectives of a collaborative, integrated approach to water management for Greater Adelaide. Resilient Water Futures is being led by SA Water, together with the Department of Environment and Water (DEW), the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), Local Government Association of South Australia (LGA), Green Adelaide & Planning and Land Use Services (PLUS) as key members of a Strategic Advisory Committee.

To help inform the planning, SA Water are seeking input from customers and community members about values and preferences for managing water to ensure the Greater Adelaide region is prepared for the challenges to come.

You are invited to participate in the Resilient Water Futures survey to have your say. The survey is open until 5pm on Friday 14 April.
