Goyder 2024 Annual Report is out now!

The 2024 Annual Report, which highlights our activities is now available for download, and it has been an exceptionally busy and productive year! The Institute has gone from strength to strength, working with our partners to deliver a broad range of critical water research projects to inform decision making.

Highlights in the report:

  • Independent Chair, Jody Swirepik reflects on 2024 and her first year in the role
  • Coorong, Lower Lakes and Murray Mouth Research Centre completes first year of delivery phase
  • Working Together for better drinking water in the bush forum outputs published
  • Administering One Basin CRC Loxton Research Hub continues to create connectivity across the Basin
  • Adaptation of the SE drainage system under a changing climate project
  • Four significant projects completed:
    1. Potential impacts of reducing groundwater abstraction from the south west Great Artesian Basin: Modelled aquifer pressure and spring flow response
    2. Assessing the environmental response of the 2022-2023 River Murray flood event
    3. Development of ecohydrological conceptual models and Impact Pathway Diagrams for the Braemar, Stuart Shelf and Northern Eyre regions
    4. Analysis of changes in high intensity rainfall events in South Australia.
