Reconciliation Action Plans

The Goyder Institute for Water Research is a partnership-based organisation, bringing together government, research institutions and industry to deliver collaborative water and environmental research for South Australia.

While the Goyder Institute does not have its own Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), our work is shaped and strengthened by the RAP commitments of our partner organisations. Each partner has an established RAP that guides how they engage with First Nations peoples, respect cultural knowledge, and embed reconciliation principles within their organisations and projects.

Through these partnerships, Goyder Institute-supported research benefits from approaches that prioritise respectful engagement, meaningful collaboration, and the inclusion of First Nations perspectives in water and environmental management. This is particularly important in projects that involve Country, cultural landscapes, and the long-term stewardship of natural resources.

By working alongside partners who are actively progressing reconciliation through their RAPs, the Goyder Institute supports and contributes to outcomes that align with the principles of reconciliation, self-determination and knowledge-sharing, while continuing to learn from First Nations communities and organisations across South Australia.

Visitors are encouraged to explore the Reconciliation Action Plans of our partner organisations to learn more about their commitments and actions.
