Participants from across the Goyder Institute’s research network came together on Wednesday 1st April for a half‑day strategic planning workshop to chart a direction for the future. The session brought together diverse voices and expertise, creating a collaborative space to explore the Institute’s evolving role in supporting research, policy, and on‑ground practice.
The workshop is being complemented by a series of one‑on‑one interviews with representatives from industry, academia, government, and the private sector. These conversations will help ensure the development of a strategic plan that is aligned with both current and emerging research priorities and is well‑positioned to respond to the needs and challenges facing South Australia and the broader region.
Together, these activities will inform a refreshed strategic plan that strengthens the Goyder Institute’s impact, partnerships, and future research directions. The fourth‑term Strategic Plan will be ready for implementation on the 1st July 2026 to guide the Institute into its next phase.
