The Goyder Institute for Water Research is pleased to welcome Professor Neville Crossman to its Research Advisory Committee (RAC), representing Flinders University.
Prof Crossman is a nationally and internationally recognised expert in the economics of land, water and biodiversity. He is a Professorial Research Fellow in Economics at Flinders University’s College of Business, Government and Law, and serves as Program Leader (Adaptation and Innovation) and Government Engagement and Business Development Lead at the One Basin CRC.
He brings extensive experience from roles across academia, government and consultancy, including at CSIRO, the Murray–Darling Basin Authority, and in advisory capacities to the United Nations, European Union and the World Bank.
Prof Crossman’s research focuses on ecosystem services, ecological economics, natural capital, and sustainable land and water management. His work aims to bridge research and policy, delivering innovative, evidence-based solutions for water management in Australia and internationally.
Prof Crossman replaces Assoc Prof Ilka Wallis on the RAC. The Institute greatly values and appreciates Prof Wallis’s significant contribution and expertise during her time on the committee.
The Institute looks forward to Prof Crossman’s valuable contribution to the RAC and its mission of advancing integrated water research to inform policy and practice.
