The CLLMM Research Centre’s Science Program is gaining momentum, with strong progress underway to improve our understanding of how climate change is affecting the region—and how we can respond.

Recent highlights and activities include:

  • Kicking off the Community Adaptation to Worsening Droughts and Floods project with its first workshop
  • Welcoming a delegation from the Northern Territory Government
  • Hosting a high-level 2.5-day workshop on H5N1 avian influenza, bringing together the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder, CSIRO, and other key agencies
  • Preparing for upcoming engagement opportunities as part of our Horizon Mapping project
  • Bridging culture and science through the Freshwater Soaks project
  • Farewelling Kyla McHughes and acknowledging her contributions to the Centre
