We are pleased to welcome Dr. Graham Green and Ms. Rebecca Quin as the newest members of the Goyder Research Advisory Committee (RAC). Both bring a wealth of experience in environmental science, policy, and research, strengthening the committee’s expertise in water resources and climate adaptation.

Dr. Graham Green is the Water Science Unit Manager at the Department for Environment and Water, with over 30 years of experience in engineering and environmental sciences. He has dedicated 19 years to advising the South Australian state government on climate change and water resources. From 2017 to 2023, Dr. Green served as the Principal Advisor for Climate Science, providing technical oversight on climate change impacts, adaptation, and mitigation. His expertise in environmental hydrology includes computational modelling of climate change impacts on water resources, surface water-groundwater interactions, and fractured rock aquifer hydrogeology.

Ms. Rebecca Quin has over 15 years of experience in environmental science, policy, and research partnerships. As the Manager of the Environmental Science and Research Partnerships Unit at the Department for Environment and Water, she provides strategic leadership across key science disciplines, including marine and freshwater science, climate adaptation, and ecosystem modelling. Ms. Quin has played a significant role in delivering scientific analyses to inform Murray-Darling Basin policy and management, collaborating closely with research institutions, government agencies, and industry partners to advance environmental science and policy.

Their expertise will be invaluable to the Goyder RAC as we continue to drive impactful research to inform evidence-based decision-making.
